We are currently searching for a Modeling Support Engineer to work in Amsterdam, The Netherlands for 10 months plus extensions. This is a contract opportunity for a large multi-national client.
Role and Responsibilities:
Your are a strong team player but also a strong individual who can independently, and in a team, efficiently resolve client issues.
You have a passion for troubleshooting and helping clients find workarounds for problems or issues they encounter with our tools: you know when to escalate to development and you can duplicate clients issues for filling defects. You like to write accurate documentation of known issues and workarounds for internal publication.
The ideal candidate must have the following skills:
-Educated to degree level
-Windows and Linux operating systems: experience as advanced user
-UML (Unified Modeling Language) 2.2 hands-on knowledge
-Object Oriented Languages (Java and possibly C++): you understandd the customer code and you can detect coding errors and malpractices.
-Java 7 knowledge, including new language features not present in Java 1.4.
-Fluent in English, professional level in French or German
