My client, a leading medical device company in Illinois, now has a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Engineer on a contract to hire basis. This is an initial six month contract with the potential to convert to a permanent role after the six month contract period. The rate for this position is between $35 and $50 per hour dependent on experience.Job Description
- Coordinate multiple program objectives under aggressive time schedules
- Collaborate with internal teams and third party vendors to complete documents while complying with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). FYI - training will be provided on company specific procedures.
- Ability to direct third party vendors to complete projects in a specified timeframe
- Drive issues impacting multiple organizations to agreed resolution
- Strong Presentation skills with ability to discuss with senior leaders
Skills:
- Engineering degree or equivalent background with minimal 5 years experience.
- Electrical Engineering with Technical Documentation background; ability to read schematics a must.
- Familiarity with component and board specifications expected.

- Experience in Word, PowerPoint, Excel; experience with DOORS or similar systems a plus.
- Experience working with formal requirements and Quality systems for products and engineering projects.
- Experience with Failure Mode Analysis (FMEA / FMECA) for electrical circuits and systems a significant plus.
