Basic Function
-Responsible for planning and conducting work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adoption and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
- Assists in the development of new approaches to problems encountered.
- Works as a lead engineer for a small to large.
Principal Accountabilities
-Plans, schedules, conducts and co-ordinates detailed phases of I&E engineering work as a lead engineer in a large scale project, or as a lead engineer in a moderate or small project. Directs personnel in order to achieve project technical requirements in accordance with the project policy.
-Performs work, which involves conventional engineering practices, but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, suitability of standard materials, and difficult co-ordination requirements.
-Ensures effective coordination within the engineering group, the project team and other groups.
-Ensures that the execution policy, designs and specifications reflect minimum overall cost through engineering, procurement and construction in accordance with the project policy.
-Approve design documents prepared by engineers.
Technical and Academic Requirements
-BSc Degree in Engineering or Equivalent
-10 to 15 years or more of progressive applicable experience.
