Position Description:
Develop web pages, web tools and content management systems for projects including streaming video, syndications, design implementation, prototyping, distribution and automation of content.

Works as project team member to develop Internet and Intranet Web applications.
Work with team to develop web applications or change existing applications.
Performs web development, template writing, testing, debugging, documentation, and installation tasks for on-line processes in accordance with industry best practices and specific internal procedures and standards.
Contributes to task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for development and maintenance activities.
Participates in the analysis and definition of efficient, cost effective application solutions. Works with internal departments to provide associated deliverables required for the successful completion of development and maintenance assignments (eg business development, database development, web designers, end-user training).
Provides on-call support as assigned. Notification via pager.
Performs related duties as assigned or requested.

Advanced Drupal or comparable Content Management System, LAMP stack knowledge/skills.
Wordpress skills are a nice to have.
Advanced HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, Flash, XML, XSLT, PERL, Java, JSP, UNIX Shell Scripting and a strong foundation in enterprise level Internet technologies. Knowledge of Databases and data/content migration techniques.
College degree required.
At least five to seven years of previous experience building web sites is required
. Experience with a large-scale web site is a plus.
Candidates must provide samples of work. WYSIWYG editors are not used.
Candidate must show an aptitude for detail. They should display leadership skills such as taking proper responsibility, pursuing solutions to problem, displaying resourcefulness towards accomplishing given task or goals. They must exhibit an ability to focus on mundane functions of their job, as well as being self-motivated to learn new skills in order to accomplish new tasks.
