Excellent opportunity for SQL Server DBA/Sequel Server DBA with a desktop support background to join multinational financial services/insurance corporation (role Brighton based). Applicants must have a commercial background  in implementing MS SQL infrastructure projects and will possess experience with Windows Server 2003 and Server 2008 (VMware 5.X and Citrix advantageous). This will be a varied infrastructure based role and you will be working with other teams (application support/server/desktop/projects), thus you will need to accept & enjoy the fact that you will get approached directly by the user base & business teams.  

You will have the ability to follow best practice' when designing, building and implementing MS SQL Infrastructure solutions and will have some experience in designing, building, testing, implementing and supporting MS SQL Infrastructure solutions. 

Your role will help with the design and build of any new IT SQL infrastructure as well as being responsible for maintaining and updating the existing infrastructure. 

You will be personable and approachable and able to comfortably deal with non-IT clients at all levels. You will attend the weekly service and operational meetings and provide senior IT Infrastructure team members with appropriate and timely information.
