Sr. Project Manager- NFS-BIO, Network Implementation & Capital Projects 

Description: 
The Sr. Project Manager in the Information Technology (KP-IT) National Facility Services (NFS) - IT Business Information Office (BIO), is responsible for the successful delivery of multiple infrastructure and/or capital construction projects, through disciplined KP-IT project management processes and close collaboration with business partners, team members and various IT functions. The IP partners with National Facilities Service (NFS) to ensure that space, power, and cooling are sufficient to meet the upgraded network and telephony needs in our medical and administrative buildings. The Sr. Project Manager will assume end-to-end project accountability to ensure delivery of IT solutions and services that provide the highest value in support of infrastructure projects. 

The Sr. Project Manager will be required to know or learn program and process methodologies, execute them within the established KP and KP-IT organizational framework and mentor project team members. The candidate will be accountable for meeting financial and schedule commitments and communicates effectively with team members, KP-IT management, NFS Project Managers, and Regional Business Partners. This position requires a project manager who can work with minimal oversight to identify needed resources, define roles and responsibilities, and arrange for the assignment of key project participants. Duties include project planning, project execution and control, resource supply/demand management, communication, risk analysis, quality assurance, team and vendor management, and project implementation. Proven expertise in project planning methodology and in leading a matrixed team through a capital construction project life cycle is a must. Client relationship building skills are essential, as is the ability to manage complex, medium to large-scale project schedules with multiple inter-dependencies. Expertise in managing budgets, work plans and schedules, deliverables and responsibility matrices is critical. 

Essential Functions: 
Provide project leadership to motivate project team members, set achievable objectives, maintain a positive outlook, take responsibility, make decisions and provide constructive feedback. 
Build, track and monitor project plan(s) using either MS Project or RPM Workbench to ensure that the project is on schedule and budget through life cycle. 
Ensure project data is accurate and available for review by management and ensure that management is proactively informed of potential problems and risks so that they can be mitigated or resolved before they become insurmountable. 
Utilize time tracking, change control and milestone reporting applications (Remedy, RPM and Primivera (P6). 
Use negotiation skills to achieve successful project outcomes around issues, scope, schedule, costs/budget and resources. 
Manage the project funding/budget process. 
Matrix manage project managers and teams from other KP-IT groups who supply resources and services to the project 

Qualifications: 
5 plus years of successful, end-to-end implementation experience that includes a broad understanding of infrastructure (Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless (WLAN) and/or PBX/VoIP and capital construction projects through professional services consulting and/or project management. 
5 plus years of progressive experience as a project manager that includes managing multiple and concurrent implementations of medium to large moderately complex to complex projects. 
The candidate should possess a strong customer focus and excellent verbal and written communication skills; a broad understanding of IT infrastructure and technology and the ability to monitor and manage vendor performance. 
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Management Information Systems or related field, 

Preferred Qualifications: 
PMI certification 
Healthcare IT and/or IT Construction experience. 

Knowledge of Voice, Data & Telecommunications Networks 
PMP Certification 
Construction knowledge and methodologies
