I am currently recruiting for 2x SC Cleared Windows Support Engineers in Somerset for 6 months initially.

Rate is £300-£350 per day

The successful Windows Support Engineers will have the following duties and responsibilities:
Define and maintain the overall computer design/configuration models and ensure they meet the computer systems functional and performance requirements.
Provide support to the Front Office Support Technicians, Back Office Support Technicians and projects as required.
Use management software and appropriate analysis equipment to collect system statistics, model performance, and create reports including proposals for improvement.
Where necessary also use this information to provide complex capacity planning models for future planning and budgeting.
Carry out research and development of technical products
Carry out complex configuration/installation and reconfiguration of hardware and software
Carry out operational acceptance testing
Role may also require management of pre production environments:
- Create and manage the appropriate environments (virtual) as required when different project stages are reached.

It is essential that the Windows Support Engineers have current SC Clearance and Wintel - Server including vitalisation, Storage, Messaging & Service/Data Recovery.

It will be desirable for the Windows Support Engineers to have some of the following:
Microsoft Certified Professional qualified or equivalent.
Microsoft trained/certified in Windows 7.
VMware Certifications
ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management
Microsoft Certification in related Server and/or Network technologies (MCP)
