Capacity Planning Analyst - Systems Performance - £400/dayOur client, a large Financial Institution based in Stirling, Scotland, are looking for an experienced Capacity Planning Analyst to join an expanding team on a long-term contract basis.
The Successful Capacity Planning Analyst candidate will have the following:
- Monitoring and managing the performance and availability of software applications to detect, diagnose, remedy, and report on application performance issues
- Experience in capacity planning and performance modelling, forecasting, and tuning
- Defining and implementing performance improvement and capacity plans for applications
- Defining performance tests using LoadRunner or equivalent
- Proven track record in performance improvement of various applications, databases (MS SQL Server 2008 + and Oracle 10G +), batch files, file transfers and large data volumes
- Strong working knowledge of application tuning techniques and tools
- Strong Unix, Windows Server, Storage, and Networking skills and demonstrated experience with configuration and maintenance
- PC-based modelling skills
