Description
We are working with a highly sought Federal Government organisation to source 2 Contracts Management Specialists with experience within the ICT industry. Initial contract until December 2014 plus 12 months of extensions.
Your position will involve:
- Vendor Relationship Management across multiple multiple categories, and high value contracts.
- Complete a contract audit review including identifying the current health of contracts.
- Monitoring supplier performance and compliance.
- Establishment of metrics used to track vendor performance.
- Monitoring of the market place for new suppliers and/or offerings.
- Contribute to the continuous review and implementation of processes and procedures.
- Ensure adherence with all relevant Commonwealth legislation and guidelines.
- Management of a small team
Your duties will include:
- Managing administration and possible contract management of a suite of departmental ICT contracts for financial and outcome deliverables;
- Providing advice to business areas on contract life cycles, procurement and contract risk;
- Updating ICT contract and departmental databases; and
- Developing and instituting procedures and practices to ensure the department manages the procurement of goods and services which are value for money, meet the department's stated objectives and complies with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and relevant legislation.
SKILLS
- Strong contract management experience gained within the IT, construction or telecommunications industry.
- Experienced in the audit of existing contracts, establishing performance and monitoring metrics and negotiating contract variations to improve value for money.
- Excellent working knowledge of the Financial Management Framework and how it relates to Commonwealth Procurement Rules including the proven ability to establish appropriate performance standards, terms and conditions that position the department to ensure value-for-money and facilitate a risk management process to ensure all risks are identified and ultimately managed effectively by the business area
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in the management of sophisticated and cost effective ICT service contracts.
- Experience in building business relationships with the ability to influence outcomes and agreements.
- Knowledge of intellectual property and technology contracts.
