Dev Ops Engineer, Dev Ops Consultant, Identity and Access Management - IAM, Ipswich & Scotland
Our client is looking for a contractor for an initial 6 month contract to work on in an Identity and Access Management Dev Ops role to provide design, implementation and support services for customer deployed solutions.
Responsibilities include:
Design, development, configuration, testing, and maintenance of systems software
Fault fixing (problem investigation, diagnosis and resolution)
Research and development to enable continued innovation in I&AM
This is a hybrid of Consultant and Developer position, this Devops resource will be part of a project team and others will be responsible for High Level design, the Devops resource will mainly be doing build/configuration work with a smaller proportion of their time doing detailed design of some aspects of the overall solution.
The role will be based in Ipswich, Suffolk with travel to client sites in Scotland.
An I&AM technical background is not strictly required, though in this case a good understanding of JAAS, Kerberos, PKI, Apache HTTP server ( the more the better) to compensate. Technologies used are forgerock. Sun OpenSSO experience with other vendor offerings, particularly SSO products is a strong bonus.
Technical Characteristics
Essential Skills
Windows/Unix/infrastructure/network skills (especially Unix).
Apache HTTP server (and variants) configuration or IIS server configuration
Tomcat Application Server configuration
Basic Java skills
UNIX Shell Scripting and other Scripting skills
SSL/X.509 keystore handling, and certificate generation & installation
Understanding of PKI
LDAP/AD skills especially Kerberos
Automated build and Scripting tools eg maven, subversion, ant, chef, puppet
HTTP/HTML debugging tools: wireshark, fiddler etc.
