Drawing on a distinguished heritage of developing cutting-edge technology, our client is focused on keeping their customers' needs at the core of everything they do. The extensive range of products includes underground fault location; distribution fault management & conditioning; circuit breaker analysis; safety critical equipment; auto-reclosing systems for distribution and rail signal networks and more.

A number of new exciting opportunities currently exist within their production department for talented and experienced Manufacturing Engineers.

Role Responsibilities:

- Drive best in class manufacturing practices into new and existing product design.
- Lead lean manufacturing initiatives, optimising flow and eliminating waste.
- Promote 5S Standard throughout production.
- Lead new process layout based on lean principles.
- Represent manufacturing/production early in new product development.
- Drive productivity and quality improvement within production environment.
- Work with engineering and procurement to minimise stock wastage.
- Complete process documentation reviews. Align with master document control.
- Identify, design and maintain all Jigs, fixtures and assembly aids within production.
- Own all aspects of process documentation within production.
- Identify, implement and maintain production equipment servicing and calibration.

Essential Requirements:

- Experience in a demanding production assembly environment.
- Third level Electrical / Electronic Engineering qualification (Degree Level preferred)
- Experience in new product introduction.
- Good communication skills with positive attitude.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principals.
- Auto-cad process layout package skills useful.
- Good IT skills.
