Strategic Analytics Analyst / London / £45,500

A major bank is seeking a Strategic Analyst to join a their Global Marketing team. The purpose of a Strategic Analytics Analyst is driving value by managing the P&L across all channels by delivering and leveraging key analytics to support the initiatives of the Global Marketing Organisation.

Duties Include:
  • To provide analysis to support the strategic and analytical agendas.
  • Extend/ modify analysis based on observations/ knowledge of data and limitations, and implications of results
  • Present and communicate results to Senior Management
  • Share analytical insight with the commercial teams
  • Formulate opportunities into proposals and implement
  • Transform high-level requests into focussed and specific analysis
  • Analyze spend and online engagement insights to develop the data-driven marketing strategy


Key Skills:
  • Commercial skills -Create and implement project task plans to accomplish business plan objectives.
  • Conceptual thinking - Strong strategic thinker with good intellect and ability to focus on the whole portfolio of acquisition activities and their associated value generation. Strong project management skills with the ability to adapt to several projects simultaneously.
  • Team working - Commitment and ability to work with, and in, cross-functional and virtual teams - coupled with ability for straight talking.
  • Communication - Effectively and concisely communicate key issues and ideas through correspondences and verbally without supervision. Interface with upper management effectively. Interface with various departments effectively to ensure project delivery.
  • Analytical skills - Ability to problem solve and translate data into relevant marketing information.
  • Innovation - Create appealing and innovative product concepts and communications. Ability to evaluate financial direct marketing concepts and communications.
  • Effective in the use of analytical tools including SQL, SAS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Financial service industry experience will be an advantage
  • The intellectual capacity to move the team forward by constantly looking for better approaches.
  • Passionate about data analysis and how this contributes to the business.


Salary - £45,500
