A leading Pharmaceutical Manufacturer is looking for a new Facilities Supervisor to update and maintain systems and documentation. This particular candidate will need to have previous experience in developing systems from scratch and have a hand on approach to the role.

Main Responsibilities:

- Planning, maintenance and where required, validation, of all utilities and machinery.

- Procurement and contract management,

- Building and grounds maintenance,

- Ensuring the building meets health and safety requirements, site representative for H&S.

- Preparing documents for tenders and contractors;

- Project management and supervising and coordinating work of contractors;

- Calculating and comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum transparency and value for money;

- Supporting the Site Head in planning for future development in-line with strategic business objectives;

- Managing and leading change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities;

- Directing and planning essential central services such as reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and recycling;

- Checking that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies;

- Using performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels and to lead on improvement;

Skills:

- Ability to manage and prioritise workload by safety, compliance, security, urgency.

- Can demonstrate a good understanding of their area and how it interacts successfully with other functions.

- Is fully multi-skilled across a number of areas and has developed specialist expertise relevant to function.

- Good Communicator & team player

- Excellent written and spoken English

Experience:

- Pharmaceutical or Engineering background

- Solid engineering, facilities or maintenance education and experience.

- Up-to-date knowledge of cGMP, cGDP and HSE.

- Experience of working within a busy time sensitive environment, working under pressure whilst effectively prioritising workloads.

- Health and safety experience is an advantage
