Position goals:
As Software Quality Manager, you are responsible for the central quality assurance process, which ensures that all in-house developed or 3rd party solutions fit into the architectural landscape and go to production without severe issues, and that maintenance and operation do not suffer because of poor quality.
In collaboration with experts from Information Security, Procurement, Enterprise Architecture, Solution Integration, Technology Architecture and Operations, you identify risks and trigger improvement measures together with the project / development team. You have an insight into all important IT projects and visibility to senior management.
Main tasks/activities:
- Manage an efficient quality process for all projects with low escalation rates but high quality of delivery.
- Facilitate and/or perform application quality reviews for all prioritised development artefacts (design, code, data model, GUI, performance and load tests support).
- Raise application quality risks to the appropriate level of risk taker and provide a comprehensive application quality dashboard.
- Support application owners with system performance improvements and triage of level 3 issues.
- Reflect and improve technology standards, guidelines and best practices in order to avoid duplication of errors.
Position requirements:
- Good understanding of insurance or financial services business practices and approaches.
- Experience in leading a function, including planning, prioritising and administrating work.
- Experience in leading processes and/or projects.
- Strong analytical skills, client and service orientation, innovative mindset.
Technical Skills
- Proven experience in Application Quality, IT system assessments and problem management, e.g. system performance.
- Proven experience in technical solution design, technology architecture and technologies.
- Proven experience in integrating systems and interfacing solution components and concepts.
- Experience in designing, developing and implementing solutions.
- Practical and theoretical skills in applying state-of-the-art procedures, tools and methods to realise IT solution
Langauges:
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written); German beneficial but not essential.
