Operational IT Technician
Information Technology Technician sought for an International Maritime client based in Singapore.You will work on client site and report to the IT Technician. The IT Technician is attached to the local site manager and reports to the P3 Network Centre ITresponsible (Remote).
Purpose of The Role
The IT Technician is in charge of the day-to-day administration of the site Information System. Under supervision of the NC IT Manager, he/she has to implement NC technical instructions and procedures in order to efficiently manage deployment, configuration and running of the different parts of the system. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner he/she will ensure maximum access and availability of technology services and resources.
Duties;
- Monitors and maintains technology to ensure maximum access: e-mail, network, workstations, peripherals, ToIP,
- Installs, configures and updates operating systems and software
- Manages LAN and WAN, and monitors related equipments
- Applies group security policy and manages user access rights in order to ensure data and system integrity
- Acts as a technical resource in assisting users to resolve problems with equipment, software and data
- Troubleshoots problems with any part of the information system in close relation with group support teams
- The IT Technician reports to the NC IT Manager. He/She must apply the group technical and running instructions.
- He/She monitors and reports Key Performance Indicators on Information System.
The ideal IT Technician, should have the following skill set;
- Diploma in a 2-3 Year course in IT
- Minimum 3 Years experience in operational information systems
- Proficient knowledge of Windows environment (OS, AD, Outlook, )
- Proficient knowledge in Networks (LAN, WAN, NAT, PAT, IPSec, VLANs)
- Methodic, available and highly technical
- Time management and self organization skills
- Fluent Business Level English: Effective verbal, presentation, written and listening communication skills
