Certes have been instructed to recruit 2 SAS developers to join our public sector client based in Newcastle on an initial 3 month contract. The role will be paying up to £400 per day.

The SAS Developers will be required to:
- Implement a contingency solution for MI SAS.
- Design, Develop and Test changes to MI SAS Solution code to incorporate new functionality in the data sets with adherence to the SAS Development Coding standards.
- Document changes made to the Legacy MI SAS Solution, processes, datasets and/or reports, SAS dataset record descriptions, run instructions, program descriptors in line with the documentation standards.
- Perform Unit Testing and Integration Testing of the new SAS Functionality.
- Provide technical support to the business as part of UAT Testing.
- Deliver new functionality of the Legacy MI SAS Solution.
- Fully tested and fit for purpose SAS Datasets providing information to CMG MI community to allow further analysis and reporting.
- Document for all changes to the Legacy MI SAS Solution.
- Support report designers and key stakeholder in the elaboration of business requirements for SAS data sets and reports (SAS) by the provision of subject matter expertise.
- Support report designers in the delivery of report designs for efficient SAS data sets and reports (SAS) that meet the elaborated business requirements.
- Build and unit test new data sets and reports (SAS) to agreed standards as set out in the signed-off report specifications.
- Make changes to existing data sets and reports (SAS) to agreed standards as set out in the signed-off report specifications.
- Promote signed-off data sets and reports (SAS) to live running.
- Remove data sets and reports (SAS) agreed for de-commissioning from the live environment
- Continuously improve the efficiency of the data sets and reports (SAS) via understanding and building on industry best practice.
- Acting as a subject matter expert during the UAT and implementation of and data sets and reports (SAS) by supporting the Support team with expert subject matter knowledge.

There will be no line management responsibilities but a requirement for close working with the project team, in-house Development Team and MI stakeholders with these roles.
