Description

Scrum Master/Agile Lead is critical to the establishment of Practices within the development team.

There are few large scale Agile implementations within the public sector, so establishing a disciplined ethic that brings the best out of the team and allows for learning and improvement is essential to the on-going success of the programme.
Regular metrics that add no burden to the teams are key to understanding feature velocity, bottlenecks, areas to be corrected and input to prioritisation. These include Sprint Burn-Down charts, release burn-up charts, release plans, user story cycle time, backlog grooming and estimation. The Agile Lead will facilitate all scrum ceremonies, ensure their outputs are acted upon, such as creating space for process improvements, re factoring, development spike or clearing blockers.
Establish and iterate standards that are appropriate for the team across disciplines and validate with stream leads (architecture, UX etc.)
Provide input to the programme planning process.
Establish relationships with external stakeholders to both ensure dependencies are met and to provide feedback on the team's work.
You will have a background in leading Agile teams in technical environments with high levels of user experience testing and analytics.
In depth understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and DSDM.
Excellent knowledge and experience in the collection, dissemination and analysis of critical Agile, user experience and software quality metrics.
Meeting and workshop facilitation skills, including problem analysis and retrospection.
Experience of prioritisation and planning based on Minimal Viable Products.
Proven experience of issues and risk management.

Current Basic Disclosure Scotland Certificates will be required prior to starting this role.
