Exciting Senior Director of US Government Pricing role. Trying to predict and stay ahead of health care reform.

Typical Accountabilities

Leads the exploration for, and evaluation of, a pipeline of potential pricing and contracting strategies and their integration into the business
Reviews contracting opportunities for risk and compliance, from a financial and legal perspective.
Encourages exploration of leading edge & novel marketing approaches that provide enhanced competitiveness to current and future brands
Improves efficiency, effectiveness, profitability, and administration of contracting.
Ensures engagement of key stakeholders and governance bodies including: Brand Management Team, brand teams, skill centre leads, Long-Term Incentives and non-commercial functions as appropriate; in supporting the direction of the New Practice organization
Builds and manages a flexible multi-skilled team capable of delivering group's remit
Serves as a core member of the leadership team, representing emerging new practice issues and opportunities as well as contributing to overall Marketing Strategy purpose

Monitors environment and practices for shifts in trends or behaviours, interprets likely impact and suggests appropriate actions related to government pricing and reporting
Evaluates changing marketplace and proactively makes recommendations on pricing strategies as related to managed care, reimbursement environment, federal and state regulations
Obtains relevant competitive information on managed care pricing and contracts
Oversees modelling of pricing recommendations and financial impacts for new and existing products
Drives product pricing analysis and recommendation by analyzing competitive products and pricing, ensuring alignment with brand value proposition, understanding customer groups (patients and physicians), collaborating with Managed Markets Discount and Program Agreements teams, and leading Pricing Strategy discussions

Ability to work collaboratively across multiple parts of the organization, producing timely assessment of government pricing & reporting
Ability to maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, anticipating their requirements
Ability to stay ahead of changes in trends related to government pricing & reporting, thereby helping the organization be responsive to new requirements.
