Put the following into consideration: -
- Material selection
- Design calculations
- Design optimisation
- Moldflow Analysis to determine the manufacturability
- Tolerance analysis to avoid interference fit problem during assembly of the final product (In the real world, plastics will shrink, cutters will lose their edge, and parts may not fit perfectly.)
