Web UI Designer/Developer

My Public Sector client in Newport is currently looking for an experienced Web User Interface Designer/Developer to join them on a 3 month initial contract starting ASAP.

The Developer will need to come to the role with extensive Web design and development experience. The role is required to help carry out Front End design and development on one of the client's major projects, including coaching other developers in best practice, and undertaking code review.

Skills and Experience required:
* Wide experience of designing and delivering Web Technology based applications;
* Extensive knowledge and experience of HTML and CSS;
* Knowledge of HTML5.0
* Knowledge of jQuery, JavaScript, ajax;
* Wide experience of UX Design best practices
* Experience of delivering web solutions meeting Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) guidelines and Disability Discrimination Act
* Significant experience of delivering using Agile techniques and principles, together with experience of coaching other team members in use of these techniques
* Experienced in producing complete solutions including documentation to agreed standards
* Able to work on their own initiative, within agreed parameters and standards
* Have good communication skills - in person and in writing
* Be willing to share their skills and experience with the in-house development team
* Experience with Velocity Templates
* Experience with ThemeRoller
* Experience with JSF PrimeFaces ( v3 or later)
