Our client is a technology leader that is government funded. In addition to this they have the support and funding of the Territory Governments also.
The Role:
Our client is seeking a Windows Systems Engineer who can take responsibility for all BAU due to ongoing project based work.
Other duties & responsibilities will include:
- Responsibility for Active Directory & Group Policy for the business
- Administer and support Microsoft server technologies. This includes Microsoft Active Directory, MS Server, Exchange, Sharepoint and SQL Server.
- Support and Administration of Infrastructure including Blade, Servers (Physical & Virtualised), Storage/SAN's etc
- Provide technical support to relevant users of video, telephone and web conferencing facilities to enable required communications.
- Actively monitor IT infrastructure and investigate and remediate any issues that are identified with the assistance of the appropriate team/vendor members providing proactive support service.
The Requirements:
Our client is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator with recent experience working in a similar tole. This role will sit within the existing team and initially helping the team to get through a backlog of 2nd & 3rd Line Issues. A key component to this role is working with SCCM so the ability to create standard Windows builds is essential.
Other ideal requirements include:
- Degree qualifications in IT or equivalent
- Active Directory and Group Policy intermediate to senior level
- Intermediate VMWARE skills
- Commvault 9.0 experience
- SCCM 2012
- Sharepoint & Lync
- HP Storage Technologies
- Additional Hardware/SAN experience also preferred
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and harmoniously in a small, close-knit team
