Description
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- The Mechanical Engineer (ME) will help develop mechanical designs in collaboration with a senior Mechanical Engineer at client Life Care System's business.
- This contractor will help design and implement mechanical engineering solutions including drawing creation, tolerance & stack-up analysis, mechanical packaging, reliability testing, interaction with suppliers and client engineers for material selection, assembly of prototype units, debugging various design issues, collaboration with electrical engineers for RF and EMI/EMC design and working with assigned project teams for to create & meet project deadlines, design verification and documentation activities.
- The ME will also own the creation of Design History File related documents such as part & assembly drawings; verification plan, procedure and results.
- The ME will also be expected to assist in design reviews and other design related activities as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 years of hands-on experience. Medical device experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with various CAD tools such as IDEA, Pro-E etc.
- Demonstrated ability of having worked in a structured environment and in collaboration with other engineering teams is a must.
- Experience in a laboratory setting with demonstrated ability to get hands-on while assembling, de-bugging design issues and collaborating with suppliers is a must.
