IT Support Analyst
Location: Scotland (Dunbar, East Lothian)
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Rate: £25 per hour
IT support specialist required with the following skills/experience:
*It is essential that the successful candidate is competent and experienced in support of MS Windows XP PCs and MS Office products in a MS Windows Server 2003 environment.
*Have a good understanding of LAN infrastructure and topologies, and installation and support of peripheral devices.
*Be able to support both desktop and laptop PCs, and have knowledge of hard-disk encryption, wireless connectivity, and VPN solutions.
*Have previous support experience of BlackBerry handheld devices would be beneficial.
The successful candidate should demonstrate confidence in problem solving, have excellent customer facing skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. The individual must be dynamic, have high standards and integrity, be a good communicator, and have a good work ethic.
You will be part of a already established team with a primary focus of supporting the staff working on site. Reporting to the IT Front Line Support Team Leader, the specialist will monitor and resolve IT incidents assigned to the support team in accordance with the Service Level Agreements. Experience of an IT service management tool is essential.
A full (car) driving license is mandatory and candidates will also be required to be undergo security clearance.
