Description

Oversee the desktop and mobile site products. Responsible for design/development, implementation and maintenance of the company's digital assets. Must be familiar with a variety of Web concepts, practices, and procedures and rely on experiences and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for design/development, implementation and maintenance of the website and Mobile website, including content development and updates; consistent branding and design; ongoing Web strategy; and measurement and analysis of Web performance and usability. Manages the contractual and business relationship with the vendors supporting the Web site. Becomes a subject matter expert on the capabilities and limitations of each system.
  • Responds to issues and concerns that may impact Web sites and/or corporate brand. Executes quality checks to ensure system performance. Works with IT and vendors as necessary to quickly resolve any performance issues.
  • Manages all content and content-related projects for the website. Writes, edits, and proofreads new content and acts as editor/publisher, coordinating content updates and changes from contributors across the company. Ensures consistency through compliance with appropriate Web guidelines.
  • Collaborates to develop strategic direction for the website, demonstrating knowledge of industry best practices and trends to identify opportunities for enhancements that support business and policy goals.
  • Collaborates with IT to evaluate and recommend Web strategy and technology and usability improvements. Coordinates with counterparts at other utilities companies to leverage opportunities for joint projects and to share best practices and lessons learned. Implements approved user-configurable changes and provides project leadership for changes requiring IT support.
  • Responsible for analysing and reporting on metrics of eChannel performance. Develops, organizes, and presents comprehensive performance reports. Tracks, maintains, analyzes, and delivers current information on the operation's business scorecard or key performance indicators (KPIs) to support continuous improvement in Web performance and in migration of customers to self-service channels.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all eChannels are aligned and utilized strategically. Coordinates with the program managers for other customer channels to ensure a consistent customer experience across all channels, including but not limited to web, text, mobile, social media, vendors and other third party websites.
SKILLS:

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, or similar field AND at least 5 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated experience and relevant skills in Java, JavaScript, SQL Server, HTML/HTML5, Cascading Style Sheet (CSS3), SharePoint Content Authoring, SharePoint Designer, jQuery(mobile), Google Analytics, Adobe Web Premium CS5.5 (Photoshop).
  • Knowledge of best practices and trends related to Web technology and usability.
  • High degree of interpersonal and vendor management skills.
  • Proven project management ability.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff including senior executives.
  • A high level of independence is critical.
Preferred
  • Proficient in Web applications, layout, design and usability.
  • Broad experience in digital marketing concepts and communications.
  • Broad experience in customer services and market research.
  • A deep knowledge base in Web best practices.
  • Experience managing a vendor providing software as a service or business process outsourcing.
  • Experience with managing off-shore resources.
  • Proficiency in XML, data mining, and Hyperion.
