Description
As an Application Database Analyst, you are an integral team member responsible for day to day activities supporting the database components for multiple Java and .NET applications. Work closely with Architects and developers to deliver the database components for large scale, complex web based applications.Job Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining stored procedures.
- User access maintenance
- Implementation of changes to database design including tables and views.
- Assisting developers and customers with ad hoc retrieval of information.
- Creating of SQL queries and performance tuning of queries.
- Some weekend support may be required
- Working with Application developers in providing the background Stored Procedures and Data access methods needed for their applications.
- Responsible for assisting in the creation and support of IT Solutions that enable the Customer's success.
- Working directly on application/technical problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions.
- Participating in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components.
- Working with vendors on the integration of purchased applications and/or infrastructure.
- Designing and implementing processes, or process improvements, to aid in development and support.
SKILLS:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer-related or Engineering-related four year College or University Degree (or equivalent).
- Five to eight years progressively responsible IT job-related experiences.
- 4+ years of related Data Analyst or DBA experience
- Experience with Oracle and DB2 environments
- Experience tuning SQL. Experience writing SQL and PL/SQL queries
- SalesForce experience and MS SQL on Windows Azure desired
- Knowledge of the latest technology in programming languages, computing hardware and software and current development processes and tools.
- Ability to work both independently and with a cooperative team on complex projects that may span multiple infrastructure components or applications.
