A very exciting opportunity has arisen in the Diabetes business unit of a leading Pharmaceutical company.This is open to any GMC registered Medical Doctor with direct and long-term experience of treating/researching Diabetes.
Candidates with industry experience are ideal, however, this post is also open to NHS Medics and those coming from private practice.
Medical Advisors provide up to date medical expertise around disease areas, treatments, patient case studies and general advice to the commercial function, including the Sales & Marketing team.
They predominantly work with licensed products and are challenged with striking a balance between being commercially astute whilst also maintaining ethical practice, working in line with the ABPI code of practice and always bearing the patients in mind.
Medical Doctors in this position will get involved with marketing strategy, ensuring the literature, promotional and non-promotional materials associated with the product are medically accurate and in line with the Code of Practice. They will also be tasked with training external professionals and internal teams on the product, clinical trial data and disease area.

REQUIREMENTS:
- UK (GMC) registered Medical Doctor with at least three years experience of working in the UK within a clinical setting
- Diabetes experience
- An understanding of the drug development process and where Medical Affairs fits into it
- Commercial acumen
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
