Description
My client is a leading company who design Electronic equipment for a commercial/industrial applications including retail, banking and leisure. Their products are used worldwide.They are currently looking for a Software Engineer to join their team to specify, develop and support software for the company's product range. This is a Senior level position so please only apply if you have experience of responsibility for the entire Software design life-cycle.
You will be responsible for specification, development, support and test of firmware for a range of existing products which include PIC microcontrollers.
The successful candidate will have:
Around 3-5 years plus working in an Embedded Design role
Experience coding in Embedded C on PIC Microcontrollers
Some experience with Graphic User Interface/LCD/TFT (MFC experience would be ideal)
Familiarity working with i2c, SPI, Ethernet, USB communication peripherals with Embedded technology.
Source Control Tools e.g. PVCS, Source Safe and Perforce
Experience with any of the following would be highly beneficial as well:
Embedded Development with 8051 processor
Wi-Fi
Development with Windows C++, Visual Basic or .net environments
Some hardware appreciation
