London - Procurement Category Manager

Huxley Associates are looking to recruit a Procurement Category Manager to operate across a broad Indirect spend profile. This role is an integral part of the procurement team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to implement sourcing programmes to support business development plans. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to take their next step in an Indirect purchasing role.

Role:
Provide solutions and sourcing programs and implement procurement systems, techniques and processes to enable cost-effective supply lines.
Is customer-centric and works effectively across diverse cultures, geographies and time-zones.
Communicates, monitors and measure the organisation's expectations of Supplier performance to the business.
Report on project status, cost savings and other key metrics as required
Establish measurement tools and processes related to purchasing/procurement. Includes responsibility for capturing cost savings data, other critical success metrics and preparing of reports for communicating success
Provides financial and business analyses, profitability, quantitative and cost-analyses related to the projects and programs
Conduct internal and external benchmarking across the category of responsibility.

Develops and manages the business relationship between the Company and its Suppliers to achieve a win-win solution

Experience:

Procurement Professional with 7+ years of progressive experience in global sourcing, strategic planning and supplier development, especially within Professional Services, Utilities, IT and Capital Goods
Degree Educated
Strong Project Management experience required
Experience in building and managing successful Customer/Supplier Relationships. This includes: scope development and management, risk evaluation and mitigation, budget preparation/administration, project reporting and tracking, highly-effective judgment and analytical problem-solving skills.
Effective written, verbal communication and presentation skills
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Knowledgeable of pricing protocol methodology and implementation, including the cost-of-goods-sold model.
Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and in all Areas of the World.
Experience developing and presenting compelling business cases.
