Description
Works closely with team members to design, develop and maintain software components and products that support the client's business applications. Uses tools, languages, coding standards and best practices to develop new product features and maintain product functionality and enhancements. Creates and executes unit tests and addresses defects. Works closely with the QA and other related teams to ensure consistent understanding of requirements and approach.Success requires ideas from just about every area of computer science, including information retrieval, artificial intelligence, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, security, data compression, user interface design, etc.
You will work on many projects that carry varying responsibilities, including:
- Write Server Side code for web-based applications, create robust high-volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly.
- Build internal systems used globally by hundreds of colleagues and clients
- Specialist domains: UI development with AJAX, mobile apps, developer tools (IDEs, large-scale build systems, compilers), internationalization.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience, including large systems software design and development experience, with extensive knowledge of Windows.
- A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Coding skills in Java, JavaScript/AJAX, HTML, CSS, database design and SQL 2000, and knowledge of TCP/IP.
