Position Description:
Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. And be able to test a variety of projects that may include but are not limited to ERP Systems, web, E-commerce, and Intranet both custom and third-party, Windows-based applications in Microsoft.NET and Java technologies.
Must have 8-15 years software testing experience.
Candidate must be well versed in functional aspects of Hyperion Salary Planning and Essbase.
Experience with other Hyperion modules is a plus.
Some of the duties for this position will include, but will not be limited to, assisting the Salary Planning International Project team to:
Develop test cases and scripts to validate forecasting process implemented in the Hyperion Salary Planning tool
Conduct testing in the Hyperion Salary Planning tool
Document Forecasting and Planning solution specifications
Validate existing design/process specifications for existing or new phases of International Salary Planning
Validate requirements specifications including the creation and/or editing of documentation for testing purposes
Validate system specifications including the creation and/or editing of documentation for testing purposes
Qualifications:
8 -15 years Software Testing Experience
6 + years proven ERP system testing experience
Experience with Oracle Hyperion Salary Planning version 9 or higher
Hyperion Planning and Essbase expertise is required
Candidate must be able to map requirements to test scripts and validate not only documented requirements but validate current functionality against identified business processes and test scenarios Candidate must have knowledge of strategic, operational, and financial planning, forecasting and financial accounting processes
Candidate must have experience with dimensional data modelling, and management reporting
Candidate must have knowledge of budgeting principles and approaches such as allocation methodologies
Candidate must have expertise with Hyperion tools such as Smartview/Spreadsheet add-in, Web Analysis, Calc scripts/Business Rules, Load Rules, ODI
Have an solid understanding of data warehouse concepts and technology.
Candidate must have exemplified superior knowledge in understanding of business requirements, processes and implementation approaches for three or more of the following
Familiarity with validating and testing GL Interface
Technical proficiency with SQL and Excel spreadsheets and macros for reviewing data, troubleshooting and testing/validating source system data Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities effectively and efficiently
Senior level knowledge of testing processes, methodologies, and best practices
Understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle
Ability to execute functional, system, integration, regression, and various other types of testing as appropriate
Experience with Test Cast Management tools, Quality Center and TFS a plus
Experience with Defect Tracking tools (ie Quality Center, Jira)
Experience testing Client Server and Web/Internet Applications
Ability to executing functional, system, integration, regression, and various other types of testing as appropriate
Ability to create and execute test plans and test cases
Experience with data validation
Technical background preferred; hands-on experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, Microsoft .NET a huge plus
