Windows 7 and Desktop Rollout Technical Project Manager

Immediate Start  - 3 Month Engagement With Possible Extensions

Technical and project leadership for the Windows 7 and Desktop Rollout Project

CBD/West Location. $600 per day inclusive of Super

The role encompasses end-to-end project management of a major Windows 7/Outlook and Desktop Rollout Program, from early project requirements through to BAU. Working as part of a broader technical services delivery team migrating services and business applications. You will come from a hands on technical background with specific prior Windows 7 implementation experience. All Exchange 2013, any prior Groupwise experience highly regarded.

Key responsibilities: 

Responsibility for the ongoing project's life cycle and ensuring that all project functions are satisfactorily carried out and integrated. 

Manage and control the delivery of projects, resources and vendors meeting scope, time, cost, quality, value requirements.

Develop and co-ordinate a migration/transition strategy/schedule.

Management of relevant project schedules and deliverables, progress tracking and reporting.

Management of project budget and project finance life cycle.

Vendor liaison and management of vendor schedules and deliverables.

Manage the ICT Change Request Notification and Project Change Management processes.

Liaise with key business unit stakeholders as required

Facilitation and management of project meetings.

Knowledge and Experience: 

Demonstrated experience in Technical Project Management involving complex ICT infrastructures. More specifically previous Windows 7 deployment experience to the enterprise environment using SCCM and Windows Server.

Demonstrated previous technical experience in Systems, Applications, Delivery and Deployment.

Physical relocation/migration of production business systems and applications.

Ability to work unsupervised and independently, with a proven track record of success.

Excellent management, leadership and oral & written communication.

High Level interpersonal skills with Management, Staff, Contractors and Clients.
