Job Description:

As part of our software team, you will play a key role in developing our audio products. Working within a talented team of software and hardware engineers, you will be responsible for developing drivers and applications to support our family of DSP-based Audio/Voice processors and audio codecs. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about developing embedded mobile audio solutions for the consumer market. Your responsibilities will include:
- Bring-up, testing and debugging of emulation and production hardware
- Develop and maintain Linux audio device drivers
- Write and maintain documentation that will ultimately become customer facing documents
- Develop and maintain cross-platform integration tools
- Support audio & voice channel "tuning" of hand-held consumer products
- Develop and maintain evaluation/tuning software for our audio products
- May include some face-to-face support of consumer electronics manufacturers using our digital audio and voice products.

Requirements:

- C, C++, and audio DSP software experience
- Experience in interacting and supporting tier-one consumer market OEM's
- Experience writing audio codec device drivers for Linux and ALSA
- Strong system level trouble-shooting and debugging skills (JTAG, oscilloscopes, analyzers, etc)
- Experience with real-time audio systems in both analog and digital domains
- Knowledge of Android, especially how audio subsystems interact/integrate with audio hardware is desirable
- Experience writing short/focused technical documentation
- DSP algorithm knowledge is a big plus
- Experience with the GNU tool-chain, Git, subversion, Jira are all desirable
- BS in computer science or electrical engineering with 4+ years of experience or MS with 3+ years of experience
- Ability to travel occasionally, both domestically & international
- Some experience submitting patches to kernel.org would be a nice-to-have
