Description
We are working with a highly sought Federal Government organisation to source a Web Systems Administrator with skills as a Web Master and Developer.
This is a lengthy 12 month contract with 2 x 12 month extension options.
DUTIES:
- Assist in the ongoing design, development and implementation of an enterprise strength public facing web capability.
- Work with lead architects, developers, analysts and business stakeholders to ensure proposed technical solutions meet departmental and other requirements for external facing websites.
- Manage and administer all aspects of web operations hosted on Apple OSX Apache by the department
- Assist in the transition of websites from an Apple OSX Apache environment to a Microsoft SharePoint environment.
- Gauge the usability of new and existing products and make suggestions for change and transformation.
- Work closely with the Design Authority Unit throughout all stage of the development life cycle.
- Development and administration of custom subscription services using Lyris ListManager and email deliverability best practice management.
- Develop tools and templates to allow non-technical staff to manage and publish departmental content.
SKILLS:
- Excellent communication, negotiation and liaison skills.
- Strong client and Server Side development skills.
- Demonstrated management of Apple OSX based web Servers.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and administering public facing Internet applications and infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing usable interfaces for web based products with a strong clean visual design sense.
- Demonstrated experience in design, development and administration skills using Lyris ListManager with email deliverability best practice management.
- Experience in the migration of Apache based systems to Microsoft SharePoint.
