Settlements Analyst

One of our large Investment Banking clients is looking for an experienced Settlements Analyst to join there Team

The ideal candidate will must ensure a high level of client service is provided to both internal and external clients, while complying with internal procedures, controls and FSA regulatory requirements.

You will have previous administration work ideally in trades and settlements, Financial Services along with experience of working in a team

This opportunity enables our associates to develop or enhance their understanding of settlements and the investment banking industry.

Responsibilities
* Ensure settlement of transactions on behalf of clients for European markets
* Taking the necessary action to ensure resolution of all failing trades
* Ensuring team work towards meeting quarterly fails targets.
* Employ networking skills to manage your relationships with custodian, clients, relationship managers, Middle Office representatives and information sources.
* Escalation of potential risk and exposure to your Manager timely and efficiently
* Provide cover for other team members when required.
* Monitor shared inbox to ensure all queries responded to within agreed SLA
* Ensure that all established procedures are followed.
* Excellent organisational skills are required with the ability to prioritise workload, work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
* To be flexible in their attitude and approach; have a strong desire to learn from day to day scenarios.
* Work as part of a team in providing support to colleagues and ensure that the department maintains optimum performance and delivery of objectives.
* Ownership and resolution of assigned tasks

Essential
* Prior industry experience is essential
* Ability to communicate clearly and precisely in both written and verbal context
* Show a high level of commitment and professional work ethic
* Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
* Excellent time and priority management skills
* Good numerical and computer skills
* Ability to work on own initiative while remaining team focused at all times.
* Self-motivated and able to use own initiative
* Target driven and ability to work as part of a team
