A global provider of oilfield engineering services, specialising in offshore lifting, and crane engineering services is currently seeking a QHSE Advisor to join their growing team in Houston, TX.

Job Overview:
The QHSE Advisor will support in the overall delivery of the Company's business objectives, by providing guidance, advice and support in order to meet the commitments in the company's QHSE Policy Statement and to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and legislative requirements. Position shall have a primary focus in supporting the company's US Houston area.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Development and maintenance of the Sparrows QHSE Management System to facilitate delivery of the requirements of OHSAS 18001: 2007.
* In conjunction with the Health and Safety Manager develop and implement a Health and Safety Internal Compliance and Assurance Audit program, within US.
* Attending Industry/ Client arranged meetings and seminars in relation to aspects of Health and Safety Liaising with Operational Managers to develop and implement Health and Safety Plans.
* Supporting operations management - schedule site visits to land and offshore locations for the purpose of carrying out Health and Safety Audits and Inspections and facilitating workforce engagement.
* Contributing to the development of HSEQMS Interface Documents to Company Model.
* Participating in Accident/ Incident Investigation as a root cause analysis specialist both onshore and offshore
* Developing sound working relationships and co-operate with Clients and others such as Legislators; Registration Body's during Audits, Verifications and Assessments.
* Conducting review and amendment process to ensure legal and other compliance in respect of all aspects of occupational health and safety management.

The successful candidate will have as a minimum:

* Minimum of Associates Degree in Occupational Safety and Health
* 5+ years experience in QHSE Advisor role, preferably in Oil and Gas and/or Manufacturing
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach as needed.
* Experience of internal and supplier auditing
* Experience of working within a 3rd party certified management system
* Experience of integrated QHSE systems
* Experience of offshore engineering or offshore plant related business
* Experience of incident investigation and root cause analysis
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; persuasive with strong business perspective
* Must be bilingual (Spanish)
The following is also desirable:
* Offshore Travel HSE Critical Certification
* Certificate of Medical Fitness
* ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 or ISO 14001 Auditor Qualification
