C++, 5D Qt, 3D Graphics, Open Inventor, C#/, .NET Development, mathematical, engineering code, algorithms.We are urgently seeking a Software Engineer to join the existing Edinburgh based GeoScience software group dedicated to the development of software for the upstream oil industry. The jobholder will be responsible for development and design on the 5D well planning product. 5D is a key operational engineering application used by internal and external customers.
KEY ACTIVITIES;
Designing and implementing new 5D application code.
Analysing complex algorithmic code and re-engineering this code for use in a modern engineering application.
Playing a full role the software development lifecycle for engineering applications.
Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment and apply WCS, and where appropriate Client Company's, Health, Safety & Environment Policy and Safety Management Systems.
Essential: At least a degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or Engineering.
EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCE/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
Essential:
C++ Development.
Preferred:
Qt.
3D Graphics.
Open Inventor.
C#/.NET Development.
Experience developing mathematical/engineering code and algorithms.
