Description
This is a 1 year contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Support for very large and complex databases including the organization, installation and assessment of enterprise database management system software across multiple database environments
- Design logical and physical databases
- Manage all aspects of development, test production cycles of Oracle databases
- Database design, creation, maintenance, backup/recovery, performance tuning and installation of new Oracle databases
- Modify database programs to increase processing performance and database tuning
- 24x7 Production Support
Requirements:
- 5+ years. experience as an Oracle DBA and 10 years. of overall IT experience
- Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC with ASM on Unix or Linux platforms
- Experience in the analysis, design, development and implementation of major Oracle databases
- Strong understanding of Oracle tools
- Experience with the Oracle Tool Kit
- Proficient with the latest versions of SQL and related database tools
- Expert knowledge of working in Unix or Linux environments
- Proficient with using Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Expert engagement skills with Oracle Support Services and work escalations
- Familiar with navigating through online Oracle documentation
- Strong experience in Logical and Physical database design
