Perl/PHP Enginner - Hampshire - 3/6months - £pdA leading Telecommunications company are looking for a Perl/PHP Engineer to work within the Engineering Systems Team focused on the Development of applications and tools to assit in the automation and reliability of manually intensive tasks in order to improve management of the network.
The successful Perl/PHP Engineer will be part of 2 key exciting new projects involving developing API's and a host of different development tools within the Operational teams.
KEY SKILLS
- Experience with Databases such as MySql
- Strong experience with Perl and PHP
- Web development experience - HTML/CSS
- IP networking and common protocols (Telnet, FTP, SSH, HTTP)
- Basic UNIX system environment and common protocols (Solaris, Linux)
- Apache
- Agile code development in a multi -user environment
An awareness of CLI interaction with network equipment such as Cisco, Juniper or Alcatel would be of real interest along with any use of change versioning system's such as Subversion.
