AX Functional Analyst:

General Responsibilities:

  • End user support request tracking and resolution
  • Gathers, analyzes, documents business requirements, business case, and any documents      required by their team
  • Supports Power user and SME in there day to day use of the system.
  • Documenting and analysing and resolving system and process issues
  • Engage third party support for products used in the ERP system (Microsoft, third party vendor, Implementation Partner)
  • Provide direction on application functionality and options to guide the new business processes
  • Translate requirements to system design documents
  • Map business process to Dynamics AX
  • Provide solutions and recommendations to solve business needs using Microsoft Dynamics AX  or 3rd party integrated products
  • Identifies business change requirements and impacts associated with recommended design
  • Document system configurations in relations to business requirements
  • Works with the Business Subject Matter Expert (SME) to define the benefits of the system
  • Write Functional Design documentation based on business requirements
  • Assist with the technical design ensuring business requirements have been addressed
  • Prepare Business System Design document (users view of the system - includes non-package related components)
  • Creates test requirements, cases and performance of testing to validate business processes
  • Update database through SQL.
  • Data Migration activity
  • Train subject matter experts and guide them through user acceptance testing. Creates and assists in delivery of user training and support for the project
  • Communicates approved and consistent messages about the Project

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience as a Dynamics AX 4.0 or 2009, 2012 Functional Analyst (Finance, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Sales, Project Accounting)
  • Working knowledge with the following Microsoft Dynamics AX functional modules: Finance and Trade and Logistics/Supply Chain
  • Proven experience in delivering Microsoft Dynamics AX training
  • Good knowledge of SQL query
  • MS Dynamics AX Report generation.
  • Strong customer interfacing skills, excellent communication skills both written and verbal, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
  • Good understanding of project management principles
  • Experience in global deployment of Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • Ability to work with a distributed team of subject matter experts
