My client a leading Australian Technology company are hiring for Senior Credit Controllers. Due to successful growth, the current team is now expanding and they require a number of Credit Controllers to provide first point of contact for escalations and a point for resolution of complex customer disputes or queries, whilst maximising cash flow and minimising bad debt of an allocated portfolio of accounts

Some of the key responsibilities of the role will be;

  • Meet and surpass individual KPIs which include reduction of set Aged Debt percentages for + days
  • Contribute to the achievement of the DSO target as set by the business unit.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with both internal/external customers and stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Have an expert understanding of operational practices, Credit Management policies, and procedures and capable of applying judgment within the framework of the role delegation.
  • Regularly providing detailed reporting and commentary on Debt and Credit Management blockers to Senior Stakeholders
  • Fast track issue resolution to assist with debt recovery
  • Maintain an up to date credit management knowledge and understanding to provide credit solutions for customers;
  • Identify customer needs through standard questioning techniques by providing product service information to enable the customer to make an appropriate decision;
  • Negotiate and explores potential credit solutions with customer eg Payment Arrangements & Payment Extensions
  • Determine customer issues and negotiate and/or explores potential win-win solutions with customer
  • Escalating customer issues to ensure customer satisfaction and avoid customer dissatisfaction and complaints;

Some of the key skills required for the role will be;

  • Demonstrated expert knowledge and understanding of credit collections
  • Previous experience in commercial portfolio management required
  • Strong ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with peer groups and key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capability to leverage relationships with stakeholders to achieve positive business and customer outcomes.
  • Has a proven ability to work with senior internal stakeholders to produce positive customer and organisational outcomes.
  • Good knowledge of computer software packages, ie Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills to support managing multiple projects and multiple stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail providing accuracy of information;
  • Excellent time management skills to meet required timeframes;
  • Demonstrated strength in written and verbal communication
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills and telephone manner
  • High level of customer service skills;
  • Have the confidence and communications skills to talk to a broad variety of people;
