Description
A large govt department is looking for the services of a Solution Architect to work on their key projects.
The successful candidates should have good communication skills, demonstrate initiative, be able to work in an uncertain environment, and have 5 years or more Solution Architecture experience.
Applicants must demonstrate the following:
- 5 years or more experience in enterprise solution design;
- Understanding of system application development, maintenance and management on a variety of platforms;
- Proven high standard of written and oral communication skills;
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a wide range of technology specialists; and
- Ability to undertake end-to-end design for major change or new policy, ensuring design solutions are sustainable, meet the business intent and utilise enterprise capabilities
Desirable Skills :
- Strong analytical and problem solving, negotiation and liaison skills of a high order;
- Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts;
- Understanding of current and emerging issues in relation to IT in a government environment and in the IT industry generally;
- Proven ability to map various strategy, architecture, research, government initiatives and new policy proposals into a coordinated program of work; and
- Proven ability to deal with significant and contentious issues.
