For our end-client in The Hague we are looking for a Service Planner/Service Manager (Managed Network Services).

Location: The Hague (NL)
Start:
Period: 6 months (with option tot extend)
40 hrs./week
Hourly rate: 65.-

Service Operations Management (SOM) is responsible for delivery of IT services and solutions. The Service Planner is a key component of the SOM organization, and is responsible for collecting, managing and reporting on the demand and for the planning of Infrastructure Consumer Services for consumers' globally.

This position will be responsible for the delivery of the plan for Managed Network Services (Telecom-related services) covering the base service consumption and portfolio projects. This position will deliver the MNS strategy and translating that strategy into a multi-year plan for service delivery and forecasting. The role will also require aligning with the businesses on the demand for services, resources and programs of work. In addition, this role will have the responsibility of sitting on various MNS forums providing plans and requirements.

This role will require significant ability to operate through persuasion and influence, in order to ensure best practice is adopted by teams. Experience of working in a planning role and in this type of environment/role will be a significant advantage. This position will require the successful candidate to display the ability to work virtually across multiple regions, with different cultures and colleagues around the globe.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key to the Service Planner role is the E2E ownership of the MNS Infrastructure Service Plan and budgets.This includes:

Demand Planning:
- Maintain data regarding the current volume of MNS services.
- Forecast, verify and communicate future demand and costs for existing and new MNS services.
- Provide input into the overall SOM Plan, translating business strategy into IT strategy to identify IT requirements for assets and services.

Demand Management:
- Operate the monthly/quarterly demand change processes, ensuring that variances are approved via the delivery and demand governance bodies.

Cost Management and Sustainability:
- Provide input for MNS assets and services utilized.
- Manage the Infrastructure expenditures reviewing supplier billing and analysing the variance together with the Demand Analysts and Finance.
- Provide levers/options to the business to assist them in the management of their demand and cost of services.
- Manage cost reduction planning/tracking for the entire MNS portfolio of services.
- Manage asset refresh activities to ensure that the refresh policy is clear, budgeted, implemented and that the infrastructure is sustainable.
- Ensure Lifecycle Management of the MNS portfolio to avoid the cost of duplicate services.

Delivery of Service Roadmaps:
- Work with other departments to understand their infrastructure requirements and provide guidance and alignment as needed.
- Provide input into the roadmaps, ensuring that the requirements are accurately represented for existing and new services.
- Work with Service Managers and  Architects to understand changes to the roadmaps and obtain feedback for those changes from the business.
- Work in collaboration with the EUC Service Planner to jointly deliver the Service Roadmaps.

Collaboration with other individuals and teams:
- Work with other departments to understand their lines of business to determine how IT can help them to deliver according to their priorities.
- Provide training to our stakeholders to assist them in understanding the services and materials within the MNS portfolio.
- Work with other Service Planners, within and external to the  SOM, to share knowledge and maintain best practices.
- Work with Demand Analysts and other Service Planners, within the SOM, to ensure we have a full view of the business landscape and the services that impact them.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Mandatory:
- Broad knowledge and understanding of IT concepts and architectures and of the principles and processes of implementing and delivering IT services.
- Experience with Demand Management processes & enabling tools.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with the MNS portfolio of services.
- Functional understanding of the other support processes, eg, Service Levels, Finance/planning cycle.

SOFT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Mandatory:
- Self-managing professional with drive & enthusiasm
- The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced results-orientated IT professional with several years experience across a range of activities in the areas of service delivery, financial planning or demand forecasting environment.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively & influence others in a cross-functional, multi-application, multi-service provider environment
- Ability to drive change
