The Role:
To develop and maintain design data for established, new and emerging materials and processes in order to provide cost effective application to projects. Variously to provide Chemical, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Thermal or Non-Destructive Testing services and consultancy in support of the design, manufacturing and certification/qualification processes, research and development and 'in-service' products. Has in depth knowledge of a specialist area which will allow them to take a key role.
Ideally seeking an experienced Level 2 NDT Radiographer for the inspection of welds in the Aerospace Product Sector. The role will also involve assisting in ensuring that all relevant process controls and quality requirements are performed and enforced.
Ideally the candidate shall have experience with the NDT inspection of TIG and Electron Beam Welds as used in the Aerospace Industry, in both light and dense metals. Familiarity with working within a Nadcap/Nucap accredited facility would be an advantage.
Candidates will be required approval under the Company EN 4179 NDT certification scheme which will involve successful completion of qualification examinations, therefore evidence of previous training, experience and certification (EN4179/PCN) will be required.
Candidates shall also have the appropriate medical clearance for working with radiation in a classified area.
Some night work may be required
