Description

A Manufacturing Engineer who specialises in Metrology is required by global leading semiconductor organisation on a long term contract basis. Their systems are used by the major semiconductor manufacturers to create integrated circuits that power an array of electronic, communications and IT products. The successful candidate will have a chance to work in the Industrial Engineering Sector, with state of the art technology and work alongside world-class engineers. The department is working on an exciting project to optimise the performance of the next generation of semiconductor products.

Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, responsibilities would be:
• Laying down operating instructions, process flow charts, routings, process parameters and indicators.
• Analysing the production process within test and pointing out structural problems and bottlenecks, working out suggestions for improvements and initiating their implementation, often in close cooperation with the surrounding departments, such as Development, Industrial Engineering Supply Chain and Customer Support.
• Contributing to the rapid solution of complex faults and taking the necessary initiatives and practical decisions.
• Bringing knowledge to bear on (new) product development projects, in order to foresee production problems in the design phase and in order to improve the manufacturability of the product and test design.

Experience
• MSc Degree (Mechatronics, Physics, Electronics, Mathematics, Aerospace)
• Experience in a production environment with high tech products and complex production processes is an advantage
• Experience in the field of Technical Manufacturing Engineering and quality methodology such as statistical process control and FMEA is an advantage.

• Active, plenty of initiative.
• Focused on quality, continuous improvement, good social and communication skills.
• Adequate English language skills in speech and writing.
• Dutch language skills in speech and writing are an advantage.
• Preference for some background in mechatronics / optics and general affinity for high abstraction level of engineering work
