My client, a global FMCG company are looking for a Global Category Communications Executive to join their London office. This is a 12 month contract position.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Global Foods Category Communications team at a world leading global organisation. The ideal candidate is someone creative, pro-active, efficient and driven with excellent organisational, Digital and communication skills.

The Role

* Lead and contribute to key initiatives and projects to support both the Global Foods Category and Global Communication Function's agenda.
* To implement and communicate strategy to encourage investment, inspire employees and build Brand loyalty in Foods
* Further promote the development of a single, global Foods category with increased collaboration across Food brands, markets and functions

KEY DELIVERABLES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Communications & Content Creation
* You will help to collect the latest news from across the globe to help showcase our category and brands. You will bring stories to life in an exciting and engaging way and share them with relevant stakeholders through the appropriate channels - both internally and externally
* You will assist with the creation and activation of communication (via text or film) and key communications events including World Baking Day, Brand Birthday's and the annual Foods Conference.
* You will write engaging content for the news section of the portal and the regular portal alerts, collect and upload useful content
* Where possible and appropriate you will find ways to feed messages into our global internal and external communication channels
* You will help to build an extensive network of contacts across the category and use this network to regularly supply your team with relevant news, information - both internal and external- best practice examples and assets from our regions and functions

Events & Presentations
* You will support the team in ensuring Foods is well represented at key events throughout the year .
* You will give communications support to the Strategy Director at events and in times of developing and/or presenting the strategy to important stakeholders.
* You will help to improve the look and feel of presentations and displays through expertise in PowerPoint, Photoshop etc.

Asset Management
* You will build an extensive asset archive for the communications team to use including the latest logos, pack shots, images, advertising and movies ensuring the team has easy access to all assets
* You will manage the teams SharePoint (for the portal) and group e-mail accounts
* You will be the key communications contact for all brand pages/feeds that have issues

Digital Expertise
* You will keep the team aware of any issues arising in the digital space - internally and externally
* You will become the digital expert in the team working with the Global Media Innovation and Global Digital team - advising on the best use of internal and external social media sites for communications (Facebook, Twitter and Chatter)

Media Monitoring
* You will conduct regular external media monitoring to assess our brand reputation and to identify inspirational ideas from other companies to enhance our communications strategy
* Connect with external affairs, media and innovation team to help improve our awareness and use of relevant external media activity

Key Requirements:

* A minimum of 2 years of experience in communications/digital role
* Experience in communicating business strategy and key priorities, clearing and simply
* Project Management experience ideally in a global organisation
* Experience working directly with C level/SVP/VP's
* Experience in developing and delivering creative, impactful communication materials
* Experience in bringing stories to life with excellent writing skills
* Preferable to have experience in a big international company.
* Experience of working with social media and social media monitoring tools such as Sysomos (preferable)
* Excellent digital knowledge (SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint including graphing expertise, Photoshop, Social Media savvy)
* Passion for Food
* Natural networker
