Contract Java Developers - 6 month contract Dublin
I am looking for a Contract Java Developer for one of my City Centre based clients. This will be an initial 6 month contract with the potential for extension. Excellent rates on offer for correct candidate.
The following is desired:
Skills and Experience:
Experienced developer with broad understanding of all the components of large consumer facing web apllications. Candidate's must have extensive experience with working and building RESTful Webservices on the Spring Framework
Essential Skills:
- Ideal candidate will have 5 plus years Java/J2EE development experience
- Hibernate, JUnit, Spring Frameworks, web services, Oracle, SQL
- Requires a very strong level of interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
- J2EE architecture and design patterns
Desirable Skills:
- J2EE security (OAuth, ws-security, Spring Security, JAAS)
- Selenium
- Cross browser development
- Experience of reengineering Legacy applications (eg removing EJB, porting from heavyweight J2EE containers to light weight containers, replacing Legacy frameworks).
- Developing application for the cloud
- Amazon AWS
- Application performance profiling (Jprofiler, yourkit)
- Application performance tuning
- PL/SQL
- Maven
- Experience of agile development processes an advantage
- Exposure to the educational software environment and familiarity with industry standards and specifications
