eSynergy Solutions are currently hiring for a Oracle Data Warehouse Architect for a 8 months project in Helsinki, Finland
Role: Oracle Data Warehouse (DW) Architect
Location: Helsinki, Finland
Start: ASAP
Duration: 8 Months
Must be eligible to work in EU.
Languages: English ONLY
The majority of the core systems in the project are implemented using Oracle products (Databases & ETL), therefore practical and proven experience in the design of Oracle solutions is necessary.
Specifically, the following skills are required:
- Practical experience of gathering information requirements and business process analysis
- Hands on experience of designing, developing & implementing ETL processes using industry-standard ETL tools
- Building/tuning procedures with PL/SQL
- Practical knowledge and experience of Data Analysis and Data Profiling.
- Practical experience of Datamodelling (logical and physical)
- Experience of implementing solutions in Enterprise level Data Warehousing projects
Environments
The whole infrastructure will be deployed in three different environments
- DEV - Used for continuous integration
- UAT - For testing purposes
- PROD - accessible by internal and external users
Tasks:
The tasks will be carried out by the Oracle Data Warehouse DW Architect
The main tasks of the Oracle Data Warehouse DW Architect are:
- Information needs analysis (deriving and interpreting actual requirements from the needs expressed by business)
- Act as liaison and facilitator between IT and business units
- Translate business information needs into technical requirements
- Design of data integration solutions:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the source systems and data models
- data profiling
- end-to-end design of the production process to extract, transform and load the data
- be involved in requirements gathering
- Collaborating with Front End team
- constructing, unit testing and automating the extract, transformation and loading process
- Support development of the logical data model
- Physical data model design, development & implementation
- Provision of clear & concise technical documentation
- Act as backup of the other members of the DWH team to cover holiday periods and absences during normal working hours
Expected Outcome:
Outputs expected from the Oracle Data Warehouse (DW) Architect are:
- Documented technical specifications based on user requirements
- Data model design & implementation
- Documented recommendations about the reference architecture for the data warehousing DW solutions, mapping it within the specific DW Oracle environment
- ETL infrastructure and architecture implemented, tested and performance tuned according to agreed specifications
- High quality contribution to the enterprise data model
- Standard operating procedures for data warehouse tuning and monitoring.
- Clear and understandable documentation of the deliverables
- DW Operations and Installation manuals
