My client, a leading tier 1 global bank, is looking for an ORACLE DBA to join their team in London. Paying up to £350 per day on a 6 month rolling contract with a long term view.Role: Oracle Database Administrator
Rate: £350/day
Duration: 6 month rolling
Location: London (Canary Wharf)
Essential Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle 10g and 11g with good support experience in a multi-project environment
- Excellent Oracle Performance and Tuning skills including SQL, PL/SQL and database/instance tuning, Server configuration and tracing facilities
- Oracle Real Application Clusters
- Oracle Recovery Manager
- Oracle DataGuard
- Strong experience of planning and implementing production service architectures in a multi-domain, multi-platform and multi-site environment.
- Shell programming
- Basic Unix Administration (Linux)
- Oracle DBA Console/Grid Control
- Good working knowledge of job scheduling & monitoring tools - preferably BMC Control-M scheduling, and BMC Patrol monitoring.
Ideal Experience: (Bonus but not essential)
- Hands-on in-depth experience of Veritas Cluster Server, and Veritas Volume Manager with EMC VMAX storage (with SRDF) disk technologies.
- Exposure to Financial Markets
