  • Experience in the delivery and maintenance of appropriate system documentation to maintain validated status.
  • Ability to provide both technology and business process understanding to quickly restore service, in event of a service outage.
  • Ability to maintain continuity of critical business processes through ensuring: applications are fit for purpose; component currency is maintained; and IT continuity plans align with business continuity requirements.
  • Good problem and knowledge management to minimise the impact of issues, and minimise the risk and impact of re-occurrence.
  • Familiarity with the concepts, standards, technology, tools, processes, procedures, hardware, software and services in use for delivering information services.
  • Ability to lead vendor support teams, with staff at multiple locations.
  • Ability to communicate with product vendors.
  • Good communication and influencing skills.
  • ITIL service management.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with the clinical business.
  • Ability to plan and execute maintenance releases, whilst maintaining validated status.


The opportunity:

Service Manager- to work in a leading blue-chip company based in Uxbridge. Service Manager - (Data Capture, Operational Support and Maintenance) the successful candidate will do the following:

The position is responsible for the operational support, maintenance and performance of several applications that are critical to the clinical trial process. Many of the applications supported by the team are key elements of the clinical trial data collection process.

The successful candidate will have to develop a strong working relationship with the business system owner, the business users, and multiple IT teams to be effective in managing the support of these systems.
