We are currently seeking an experienced SC cleared associate project manager who will be able to work with staff from across the company and especially closely with Commercial Change Manager and Commercial Services leadership team. The role requires good organisational skills and an ability to work with technical colleagues to create and update project plans, briefing materials, and progress and highlight reports.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include:

-In the absence of the Project Manager to act as first point of contact for internal requests relating to project documentation.

-Assist in the preparation of project documentation as required eg risk registers, benefits profiles, stakeholder maps, communication plans and strategies.

-Co-ordinate and attend reviews with all relevant staff and maintain a co-ordinated schedule of planned reviews throughout the project life cycle.

-Provide an accurate record of meeting outputs and act as the interface to monitor progress and ensure actions are completed in a timely manner.

-Monitor financial data, bringing forward issues for review, and propose way forward/mitigation, to enable accurate forecasting and financial control.

-Organise and maintain project filing system, ensuring all necessary corporate documentation as defined in the company's Management System is available as required, highlighting any issues to the PM.

-Plan, prepare and review project reporting documentation, bringing forward issues arising for resolution and capturing lessons learned.

- Liaise with functional staff in respect of financial and commercial issues which would include project set-up, accruals, timely placement of contracts etc.

Skills/Experience Required

-Previous experience of Associate Project Manager work and a good track record in supporting Project Managers.

-Evidence of a good understanding of financial processes and reporting systems.

-Good commercial awareness/understanding gained through the application of commercial processes to projects

-Evidence of good communication and interpersonal skills

-Able to use PowerPoint, Word and MS Project and as a minimum Intermediate use of Excel.

-Basic presentational skills - on occasion presenting information to small & large groups

Formal Qualifications Required

Essential: Evidence of a good standard of general education eg GCSEs or equivalent including English and Maths at Grade C or above.

Desirable: Professional project management training

Evaluation Criteria

1. Good track record in project management support

2. Evidence of good understanding of financial processes and reporting systems

3. Good communication skills, written and oral with a proven ability to translate' technical jargon into plain English

4. High level of expertise in using all core Microsoft Office software products, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.
